Join us on Saturday, August 29th (re-scheduled) at 9:30AM for a fly-out to Eagle’s Mere (4PN7)

We will meet at the EAA240 hangar at 9:30AM with a planned departure of 10:00AM

Eagles Mere has Motorcycle, Air and Auto Museums with 75 cars and 120 motorcycles–super bikes from 60s, 70s, and 80s, but some more modern. There is a 75′ airmail tower. There’s a simulator. And more! They are situated on top of a 2000′ mountain. There’s 3400′ grass and asphalt parallel runways, so pick your poison! The runway names (strangely) are the same, 6/24, just like New Garden. So when you call up on the radio, just specify if you’re using the asphalt or grass. Typically 24 is favored–24 is uphill. Only the asphalt runway is asphalt. Everything else is grass. Parking will be on the grass. There’s an embankment (you can see it on the terrain view of Google Maps). Park along the embankment and there is a small staircase looking thing (see aerial view)–walk down the steps from the platform to the museums. Communicate on 122.9. Hours are 11AM-4PM.
