Message from the President

EAA 240 is proud to be rated a Gold Chapter by the EAA National organization. EAA National introduced the Chapter Recognition program with Bronze, Silver, and Gold ratings based on the range of activities a Chapter undertakes annually. We are one of the most active EAA Chapters along the East Coast! We conduct fly-outs twice a month to let non-pilots experience the joy of flight where we share a meal, visit a museum or other worthy location. Our chapter actively supports multiple student pilots with scholarship funds used at our on field flight school.

Our chapter is also very active in Flying Young Eagles, youth ages 7-17, to experience their first flight and expose them to the fun and challenge of flight. We have top notch facilities with a large hangar for building aircraft with a well equipped tool shop. Also, we use the hangar meeting room to conduct educational presentations, utilize a flight simulator and hold various other events.
