This page is for the EAA Chapter 240 Recreational Flight Simulator Group page.
Our mission is to provide support for recreational flight simulators as part of our overall aviation experience. Especially for days when we can’t fly, or need an alternative. This includes recreational GA and commercial flying in home simulators.
EAA Chapter 240 does not currently own a dedicated simulator, though the Brandywine Soaring Association does have one in our hangar that is accessible as part of their club membership.
We plan to include:
- X-Plane, MSFS and other simulator discussions
- Support for purchasing a home flight simulator
- Sharing and swapping of equipment (PC hardware and flight controls)
- Live group fly-out activities, leveraging online solutions including VATSIM, Sayintentions.ai, PlanePals for X-Plane, and other networked flying tools)
- Discord channel for group discussions, online chat and fly-out communications.
- Flight instruction related discussions to help each other learn
