Join us tomorrow, June 27th, for our Summer Pancake Breakfast! Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, we’re not going to fly Young Eagles, but we’ll be serving breakfast and the airport will be holding its Cars and Coffee event. Bring your family and friends and come have breakfast with us! It’s a great way to hang out and your patronage helps us provide free flights for kids and flight scholarships.
We’ll start serving food at 8am, rain or shine, and wrap up around noon.

EAA’s volunteer NOTICE chairman, Fred Stadler, describes FAA required procedures and shares useful tips for reducing pilot workload when flying into Oshkosh for AirVenture 2026.

Our guest speakers, Steve Guetter and Matthew Olson once again will brief us on the Arrival Procedures for Air Venture. The goal is for every pilot to study the Arrival Procedures and attend the webinar to get a thorough understanding of the Arrival thus making it a safer, stress free arrival to the worlds largest airshow. Steve Guetter, Certified Flight Instructor, will talk about the human factors issues that accompany long flights to attend and give you a better perspective on what issues creep up for many pilots. Matthew Olson, Duluth Air Traffic Control Manager, and Volunteer at EAA will discuss the Fisk Arrival Procedures from the perspectives of the Air Traffic Controllers.

Join us Saturday, June 6th, for a trip to Frederick, MD (FDK)! We’ll be having a late breakfast / early lunch at the Airways Inn, followed by a tentative visit to EAA Chapter 524.

Frederick is about 80nm WSW of New Garden, which will take us about 50 minutes to get there. It’s a class D airport and there are no landing fees. Parking for the restaurant is at the far North end of the Signature ramp, then we’ll walk about two tenths of a mile south to the “terminal” where the restaurant is located.

Following lunch, we’ll plan on meeting up with our friends from EAA Chapter 524, before heading back to New Garden.
Meet at the chapter hangar at 9:30am for flight briefing and seat assignments, with a planned departure time of 10am.

Pilots and planes are always needed. Pilots, when registering please let us know available seats and total passenger weight. Passengers, please provide an accurate weight and a good contact number. Passengers, if able, please chip in for fuel costs and/or buy lunch for the pilot.
