Despite the cold morning, four aircraft and 11 pilots and passengers took to the skies, enjoying a beautiful and calm Sunday morning for a smooth flight to Greenwood Lake Airport (4N1) in West Milford, NJ.

One aircraft took the Hudson River Corridor, passing the Statue of Liberty and downtown Manhattan.  It was a thrilling flight with some beautiful views.

Once there, we met up with some family guests and had an Easter decorated brunch (including an Easter Bunny) at the West Milford Diner.
The food was great, and the staff took made sure to make Brandon’s day extra special, with a large slice of cake for his birthday. He didn’t share it with us and none was left!

Then we visited the Lockheed Constellation that has been converted into an office for the local flight school and skydiving club, before jumping back in the planes for a bumpy ride home.

Mark your calendars for our next fly-out, scheduled for Saturday, April 11th, with a planned departure time of 8:30am. We’re going to give RVL another chance, and hope the weather will cooperate and we’ll be able to join Chapter 518 for their breakfast.
