Chapter Fly-Out – Invitation
Join us this Sunday, September 7th for a fly-out to York Airport (THV). Bring your appetites and a good pair of walking shoes!
York Airport is located 51nm to the West, which should take us about 30 minutes to fly. Once we arrive, we’ll take a 15-minute walk to the Anchor Down Crabhouse (https://www.anchordowncrabs.com/), where we’ll have lunch before we head back to New Garden.
York is a popular destination for student solo cross-countries, so if you’re looking for a challenge, turn off Foreflight and your panel-mounted GPS and get there the old dead-reckoning way. Plenty of good waypoints to figure out where you are.
Meet at the hangar at 10:30am for briefing and seat assignments, with departure planned for 11:00am. Planes and pilots are always needed.
Pilots, when registering, please specify number of seats and useful load available. Passengers, please provide an accurate weight.
Passengers, if able, please chip in for fuel costs and/or buy your pilot a meal.
