The Great Hangar Clean-Out!

Dear EAA240 Members,

April 1st is fast approaching, and while it is most often identified as April Fool’s Day, in the EAA240 community it must be remembered as the deadline for the Great Hangar Clean-Out!  By way of reminder, this is the deadline for removing any personal stuff left in the hangar that you might not want to be disposed of.

1. Hangar Tenants:  Please try to consolidate all your parts, materials and tools so they can be associated with your project.  If you have materials that won’t be needed for months or years, please store them at home or in private storage.

2.  Machine Shop:  We do not want the machine shop area to be used for storage of ANYTHING as it interferes with the safe operation of dangerous rotating machinery, as well as chip and dust clean-up.  We now have a closed cabinet for accessories, bits and cutters for the various machine tools.  Unfortunately we can’t move it into position because the shop is currently cluttered with…STUFF!  If it’s your stuff, please take it home, dispose or store it off-site.

3.  Non-Tenants:  If you have tools, material and equipment that you care about stored in the hangar PLEASE TAKE IT HOME. They may disappear after April 1st.

4.  If you have made a long-term loan of tools or equipment to the chapter and want it to continue to be available to the membership, please make sure the items are clearly marked with your name and phone number.

Once again:  We are going to get rid of EVERYTHING stored in the hangar that has no defined purpose or value to the membership.  Anything both in the hangar area and in the conference room space that has been sitting unused or unclaimed by April 1st 2025 will be considered abandoned property and subjected to confiscation, and sale or disposal.
