Chapter Monthly Membership Meetings 2025
Our January & February Monthly Meetings are moved to Saturday mornings to avoid members driving out on winter evenings!
Chapter Meeting Room, New Garden Airport – guests & visitors welcome
- Saturday, January 11th – Chili Fest Cook-Off, commences at 1100am (replaces the January Monday Meeting). We complete a brief Business Meeting as we eat! All welcome.
- Saturday, February 8th – Flying in the Soup (soup cook-off competition), commences 1100am (replaces February Monday Meeting)

Saturdays at the Chapter Hangar
Reminder that the Chapter Hangar, workshop, machine shop, Meeting Room and kitchen area are open most Saturday mornings and that we’ll announce some additional activities (many involving food!) when TFRs are declared or if we have challenging flying weather. Members are invited to join informal hangar-flying gatherings or just stop-in for coffee. Our extensive aviation library is always available, and our Wi-Fi and computers/printer are always on!

EAA240 Fly-Outs 2025 – mark your calendars and join us for some fun and adventure!
Members are invited to join in the regular Chapter Fly-Outs, where we plan to have flights to destinations of interest, or food, or both! The Chapter will email the membership giving notice of the flight plan, seeking plane-owners sign-up and asking for members to register for the event. Further updates are provided by emails, messaging and/or web site updates.
We try to have up to two Fly-Outs per month but TFRs and adverse weather can cause cancellation or postponement. Chapter member plane-owners offer rides to fellow members and we often have four to six aircraft in our fleet. This year, after feedback from members, we have scheduled additional flights on Sundays. Flight Leaders are assigned to organize the event, make the required restaurant or museum bookings etc. The Flight Leader will determine weather conditions and may opt for an alternative destination on the selected day. The goal is to fly/drive SOMEWHERE on each scheduled weekend, weather and TFRs permitting. We suggest you monitor emails and the web site for updates – dates, destinations and arrangements may change!
