Notice of EAA240 Executive Board Meeting

The EAA240 Board will meet on this date at 6pm at the Chapter Hangar Meeting Room. Apologies for the late notice. Members are welcome to attend. We aim to close the session at 8pm.

As you know, the Executive Board sets the Chapter strategies, direction & priorities, reviews and approves expenses and major projects and sets the Event Schedule for the Chapter and its members.

Please let me know of any matters, suggestions, feedback you wish to bring to the attention of the Executive Board.

Membership Monthly Meeting – guests and visitors most welcome!

Monday, April 1st, 7pm – EAA240 Chapter Meeting Room, New Garden Airport

This is one presentation you should not miss! Gather at 6.30pm at the Chapter Hangar & Meeting Room for coffee, snacks, side-bars and hangar flying.

Monthly Meeting commences promptly at 7pm in the Chapter Meeting Room.

Guest Speaker and topic this month:

Space Suit Design Andrew Taylor started work at ILC Dover Delaware (!!) in 1996 as a Space Suit Engineer.

Most of his time is spent in the Space Suit Test Lab, testing advanced Space Suit designs, developing & testing new Space Suit materials, Certifying Space Suit Components for EVA, and providing Astronaut Space Suit Training. He is currently working on the Next Generation Space Suit Design for the Artemis Missions that will take Astronauts back to the Moon and on to Mars. More information on ILC Dover can be found here.

Andrew is also a Commercial and Instrument rated Private Pilot who has logged more than 3,400 hours of flight time over 22 years in various airplanes and currently owns a Cessna U206 Stationair.
