Machine Shop Tour & Chapter Visit

Hagley Docent and EAA240 member John Smoyer led a small cluster of EAA240 members on a personalized tour of the Machine Shop that supported the day-to-day operations of the duPont Black Powder facility at Hagley utilizing the water power of the Brandywine River. All the equipment is from the late 1800’s and is still functional, as demonstrated by John. It was a fascinating morning. Our thanks to John and the Hagley Museum for supporting our Chapter visit.
