Sad to Report the Passing of Chapter Member Larry Webberking
Larry had been ill for just a short time, but passed away this morning surrounded by his family.
We’d been alerted to his rapidly deteriorating health condition last week and were able to arrange a local flight for him on Saturday morning. He arrived with his family and took a flight down to the bay accompanied by a family member. Bob Huxster generously offered to fly Larry, who enjoyed his flight and who, according to his family, talked about it endlessly during these past days. While at the EAA hangar he met and chatted with several of his Chapter friends. We were each glad to be able to have that brief time with him.
Larry was a early member of Chapter 240 and had many friends here and in the local aviation community. He will be missed, and we send our condolences to his family and friends. Larry had requested no services.
Our thanks to Bob Huxster, who offered to fulfill Larry’s and his family’s flight request. It meant a great deal to Larry, and to the family.
Mike Parry
President, EAA Chapter 240
