Always in demand, the EAA240 Coffee Mug is now available FREE, for a donation of $10, or two mugs for $25.
These collectors items, available in right-hand, left hand and now ambidextrous versions (few remaining), have attracted much comment across the region. Sales are restricted to EAA240 members, non-members and the general public, with a limit of 10 per sale.

Capable of handling both coffee AND tea, these collectors items are only available this coming Saturday May 21st, from 8am. Which, coincidentally, is the same date and time for:
EAA240’s Increasingly Famous Pancake Breakfast

Fly-Outs and Chapter Gatherings – lots happening!

The Chapter Chapter Fly-Out to Frederick last weekend was captured in photographs and a fun video, which can be viewed here:

Then, just two days later, we gathered for the May Membership Meeting and Cook-Out. We again had a strong turnout, with members enjoying grilled burger and sausages prepared and cooked by volunteers (thank you!). It was a gorgeous evening and our first outside event for many months.
With the ringing of the Meeting Bell, we moved to the Chapter Meeting Room, where we concluded Chapter business promptly so that we could give maximum time to our Guest speaker – Thorne Harkin, CFI – presenting on ‘Upset Recover Training’. Lots of interaction, with demo video’s and more, this was a very effective and well received presentation. Here’s a video link that Thorne felt would be of interest to members on the ‘Turn Smart’ topic. Click here.
A busy evening for EAA240 members, with three new members joining the Chapter (membership count now 150+) and additional Young Eagles volunteers signing-up for the team. We had interest and commitment to the upcoming ‘Intro to Welding’ class (date yet to be set), plus interest in the next two Fly-Outs, and for our next Pancake Breakfast. Chapter financials have returned to good levels, with the Pancake Breakfast 160+ breakfasts served covering costs and becoming profitable despite considerable new investments as our first fund-raiser for two years. We’ll update all on these in emailings and the web site Events Calendar.
So, a very full and enjoyable evening, with lots more to come for EAA240, including:
-this Saturday, 10am, Hangar Flying with Coffee & Cake. Stop by!
-Saturday 14th – Fly-Out
-Saturday 21st- Pancake Breakfast & Young Eagle Flights
-Sunday 29th – Fly-Out
