Membership Meeting – February 2022 – Restarting our regular meetings

At long last, we’re getting back to regular Membership Meetings and the whole program of aviation and Chapter activities we’ve so badly missed in recent times.

The Chapter Executive Board and Chapter Officers provided updates at Saturday’s meeting at the Chapter hangar, listing the status of Chapter financials, Membership Renewals, Fly-Outs, Scholarship plans, Pancake Breakfast fund-raising schedules and the resuming of our Young Eagles flights. We met in the space of the main hangar and ran through a brief presentation of each topic, taking questions and encouragement from the membership. Attendance is understandably not yet back to our regular levels, but we’re getting there, and it was good to get together with long serving members and also to meet new members joining the Monthly Meetings for the first time.

Several members took the opportunity to renew their membership for 2022, and the Chapter also received several donations – most welcome!

Of particular note, was the announcement that Bud Swenson is replacing Melissa Ortega as Chapter Treasurer.

We’ve scheduled the March Membership Meeting for Monday March 14th, at 6pm, in the Chapter Meeting Room, details to follow, and then we’ll resume our regular schedule in June onwards. Speakers on the aviation topics are being arranged for future meetings, which will occur in the Chapter Meeting Room, as in past years.
