Chapter Fly-Out – July 2021

At last! We can now restart our popular Chapter Fly-Outs to places of interest, tours, breakfasts, lunches and more. We’ll list our planned destinations but always have an alternate in mind if weather intervenes, and we’ll plan a ‘rain-date’ if we can. The goal? For members to fly and meet at an off-field destination, where we can gather and enjoy each others company and that of fellow aviators.

With our new President comes the imposition by the USSS of TFR’s which, when they are in-place, restrict any flying from N57. The Events Team will work to monitor such situations and will coordinate and communicate with registered Fly-Out members on the planned activities that may be impacted by TFR’s, and possible alternative arrangements we might make for our flights.

COVID protocols are at the discretion and agreement of the pilot and passengers. Masks may be required.

As always, we depend on members with aircraft offering seats/rides for fellow members and the sharing expenses.

We’ll have emails notifying members of events and we’ll keep the web site updated too. Questions and registration can be sent to events@eaa240.org.

So, mark your calendars then for Saturday, July 24th  as we have a

Chapter fly-out to Delaware Coastal Airport KGED!

…..for a gathering and lunch at Arenas Diner. We’re also working on arranging a visit and tour of the Delaware Aviation Museum on the field – more details to follow.

KGED is a ~45 minute flight (approx. 72mi) to the SSE from N57.  Meet at the EAA240 hanger at 10:30am, for seat assignments, flight check, restaurant details, with wheels-up at 11am, arriving around noon.

We welcome pilots, planes, and hearty appetites!

Please let the Flight Leader know via email (events@EAA240.org) if you’ll be piloting a plane (open seats count please) or coming along as a passenger.  Please also let us know if you are available to fly Saturday, Sunday, or both days…pilot or passenger. Members only please, seats are often in short supply.

Please register for this event by emailing us events@eaa240.org, as we need to reserve tables etc.
