EAA240 IMC/VMC Club Meeting – Sunday, January 28th, 10am to noon
EAA240 Chapter Hangar
Sharing ideas, concepts and experiences in better flying
Question: What are the FAA requirements regarding acting as PIC after scuba diving?
Question: You are flying an instrument approach to a runway where the crosswind component is 20 knots. This runway is preferred due to the instrument approach available and the current low ceiling conditions. The airplane you’re flying has a published demonstrated crosswind capability of 17 knots. Is it legal to use this runway, or are you operating outside the limitations for the aircraft?
With the prospect of adverse weather conditions this weekend we’re planning another joint IMC & VMC Club session on this date, SUNDAY 28th starting at 10am, to discus these questions and several more related to both VMC and IMC flying. All Chapter members – pilots and non-pilots – are invited to attend as we work to address questions like this, and to exchange and share flight experiences. The session includes the use of EAA National-provided scenarios and videos. Our past sessions have resulted in lively and helpful information exchanges. More information here.
We’ll keep it light and informal, over coffee and cookies.
I hope you can join us at the Chapter Hangar for the session led by Bob Huxster, and which is open to all Chapter members, pilots, student pilots and those with an interest in aviation.
