Fly-Out to Gettysburg – Saturday

                                            Another EAA240 Event!

We haven’t been to this destination in a while!

Join us this Saturday, July 15th, for a fly-out to Gettysburg Regional Airport, PA (W05), located ~70 miles west of N57!

The plan is to kick off our visit by walking the hallowed grounds of Gettysburg National Cemetery and take a moment or two to reflect on those who, as Abraham Lincoln said in his Gettysburg Address, “…gave the last full measure of devotion.”, before continuing our tour of the battlefield. We’ll then stop for lunch at Gettysburg’s oldest and most historic house –  Dobbin House Tavern – built in 1776 by Reverend Alexander Dobbin. Notable fact: The House served as a hospital for wounded soldiers from, both, the North and South. After lunch, if weather cooperates and we still have time (and energy), we will visit more of the battlefield and the surrounding area.

Members sign up by emailing events@eaa240.org: Pilots please note your seats available.  Passengers please note your weight. As usual, the flight is weather and TFR dependent.

Seat assignments and additional flight details are provided at the Flight Briefing held at the Chapter Hangar prior to departure.

Flight Briefing: 08:30am

Wheels-up: 09:00am
