Chapter Winter Projects

Winter Projects – Chapter Hangar
Keeping the Chapter Moving Forward!
Even with limited use in recent months our Chapter hangar needs some care and attention to ready it for the new year and (hopefully) a restart of our meetings, member gatherings and aviation events. So, we’re planning some work parties that can be accomplished with social distancing and safety front of mind.

The hangar improvement/maintenance projects include:

> The four main entrance doors and frames (meeting room, kitchen (2) and rear hangar door are in need of repair and repainting – we need four volunteers, one assigned to each door, to complete the work

 > The kitchen area needs to be prepared and repainted (there are rumors of very different colors being used!) – two victims/volunteers

 > Ceiling tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms need to be replaced, lighting needs to be cleaned and checked – two tall volunteers

 > Tiling is to be installed on the bathroom and hallway floors. Bathrooms need to be repaired, painted (and decorated?) – two compact volunteers

Electrical, plumbing and painting skills will be needed, and we’re sure we have plenty amongst the Chapter membership.

We plan to schedule these efforts to be completed with social-distancing and individual safety in mind. We’ll have all the materials on-hand, except elbow grease. Most importantly – there will be donuts!

If you’d like to help in these projects please reply by clicking here and we’ll begin to put dates/times together and contact you to get the work and improvements moving.

Hope to see you soon – at an acceptable social distance!
