Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
The Chapter Board hopes this message finds you well, and managing successfully through the current COVID-19 pandemic situation. It certainly is challenging, and it seems it will be with us for some time yet. With that in mind, and in compliance with both the guidance and rulings of local and national government agencies, we are postponing planned Chapter membership gatherings and scheduled events until further notice.
The postponed near-term events include:
Special Event – Aviation Photography Presentation – Saturday, March 28th
Chapter Fly-Out to GED – Sunday, March 29th
Chapter Membership Meeting – Monday, April 6th
Chapter Fly-Out to Blairstown – April 11th
Chapter Fly-Out to Cape May – April 25th
The Chapter hangar, workshop hangar, meeting room, library and kitchen will remain accessible. If you require access and don’t have the key code for the kitchen side entrance door please contact me. We ask that you follow all government and common-sense guidelines when using the Chapter facility, washing hands and working surfaces, tools and machinery diligently. Any questions regarding use of our facility should be directed to our Facility Manager – John Leslie: hangarmanager@eaa240.org
You may have heard the while the N57 New Garden Flying Field runways and automated fuel services remain open and operational, the Aviation Center and Flight Connect Flight School are temporarily closed and not staffed.
Communication during these challenging times is critical, and the Board will meet as required by phone to maintain what progress we can and to advise and update the membership of EAA National, Chapter, GA and airport matters. We will continue to utilize our web site, emailings, Facebook (EAA240) and Twitter (EAA240) for this purpose.
Please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the Board with questions, concerns or updates. A listing of Chapter contacts is here.
Most importantly, stay well, look after yourself and others. This too will pass.
For the EAA240 Chapter Board,

Mike Parry
